No I never imagined either during my raving days that I\u2019d turn into a country bumpkin, or potato licker as my daughter likes to phrase it, but it\u2019s happened. It would appear open fields, big skies and bucket loads of fresh air are now my thing. It was in fact my present day surroundings, along with my love of all things industrial that led me to one of our quirkiest collections to date, that just had to join the Smither\u2019s Brand. The<strong> Tractor \u00a0Furniture<\/strong> Range.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-1074 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.smithersofstamford.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/tractor-furniture--300x225.jpg\" alt=\"repurposed -tractor_furniture\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.smithersofstamford.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/tractor-furniture--300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.smithersofstamford.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/tractor-furniture--768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.smithersofstamford.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/tractor-furniture-.jpg 1000w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><br \/>\nNo, I\u2019ve not lost the plot, well not entirely anyway, and when you see the Tractor Collection for yourselves, you too will be convinced by their ingenious and unique design. The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.smithersofstamford.com\/upcycled-retro-furniture\/tractor-table.html\">Tractor Coffee Table<\/a> and Bookshelf were the first two pieces to wet my agricultural appetite. Massey Ferguson tractors have always been the leader of the pack in my book so I was overjoyed to discover the main body of these somewhat daring designs was that of original Massey Fergusons!!<br \/>\nThe Bookshelf was the first to catch my eye, and my immediate thought was \u2018what a brilliant storage unit for a child\u2019s bedroom\u2019, but then as the Tractor coffee table came into view, I realised this collection was far cleverer than just being limited to the little ones space.<br \/>\nI could instantly see these pieces in quirky bars, bespoke hotels and homes daring enough to try something a little bit outrageous in their living space. The tractor body of both pieces was so authentic and instantly recognizable by the slightly mean looking grill front, yet the product as a whole provided a much more polished finish thanks to the smooth woodwork details and sharp lines of the metal framework. The same can be said for the Coffee Table with it\u2019s sleek, hardened glass top. The original headlights on the tractor fronts finish the pieces perfectly and somehow give the furniture a rather friendly face, but sadly are not in working order. <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-1075 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.smithersofstamford.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/tractor_bar-300x300.jpg\" alt=\"tractor bar\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.smithersofstamford.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/tractor_bar-300x300.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.smithersofstamford.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/tractor_bar-175x175.jpg 175w, https:\/\/www.smithersofstamford.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/tractor_bar-768x768.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.smithersofstamford.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/tractor_bar-200x200.jpg 200w, https:\/\/www.smithersofstamford.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/tractor_bar.jpg 1000w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><br \/>\nWas this a step too far for Smithers? Indoor tractors? Really? I thought not, and after a very short period of time, neither did the great Smither\u2019s public! Our agricultural pieces have been greatly received in homes and by social businesses. So much so, that when I came across the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.smithersofstamford.com\/home\/unique-tractor-bar.html\"><strong>Tractor Bars<\/strong><\/a>, I knew immediately how popular they would be. I\u2019m proud to say, we now have not one but two Tractor Bars under the Smither\u2019s belt \u2013 two variations of the Massey designs, both of equal brilliance.<br \/>\nThe Unique Bar carries a simple design that seriously doesn\u2019t skimp on impact. The Bar is very similar in structure to that of the coffee table but rests on high legs and cast iron wheels that never fail to gain attention. I\u2019ve seen this specific bar used as a breakfast bar in kitchens that has the kids rushing for a seat at mealtimes and professional couples occupying an industrial, loft style space in search of something extraordinary for their dining area. For such a deliberately designed piece of furniture, it is unbelievable just how well it suits and adjusts to several interior styles.<br \/>\nThe second <a href=\"https:\/\/www.smithersofstamford.com\/home\/tractor-bar.html\">Tractor Bar<\/a> is my newest addition and quite possibly my favourite. Gone are the cast iron wheels, but at no aesthetic cost to the finished article. Instead, an exceptional storage facility has been added to the design. There is a lower wooden shelf, beer bottle rack (that\u2019s me sorted) and hanging glass storage. Having seen the piece in the flesh, I cannot stress enough just how cool this bar is. If you\u2019re lucky enough to own a man cave, then you need this. The Tractor Bar has a truly authentic feel and lot more original patina on show, but please remember that all the Tractor options will vary in finish due to the recycling nature of the materials used.<br \/>\nOf course, both bars work fantastically well in themed restaurants and quirky pubs, but it\u2019s been a pleasant surprise to see these Massey beauties popping up in homes across the world. <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-1077 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.smithersofstamford.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/tractor-bar-1-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"tractor bars\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.smithersofstamford.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/tractor-bar-1-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/www.smithersofstamford.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/tractor-bar-1.jpg 600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px\" \/><br \/>\nHave you caught the agricultural bug yet?
