But here\u2019s the truth: some of your <em data-start=\"844\" data-end=\"850\">best<\/em> backlinks might already be doing the job \u2014 they\u2019re just not being counted anymore.<\/span><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"935\" data-end=\"1109\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Over time, Google stops crawling older pages that link to your site.
