What Cars Are Recycled Into Our Seats?
Both of our car seat styles are crafted from original Ambassador cars by Hindustan—India’s iconic ride of choice. The Truck Bar? That beast is made from a genuine Tata TMT Motor Truck, once roaring through the vibrant, chaotic streets of India.
Imagine the stories these vehicles could tell—romance, hustle, joy, and maybe a few shady detours for good measure. We like to think each piece carries a bit of that energy into your home, bar, or showroom.

How the Magic Begins
Once destined for the scrapyard, these vintage cars are shipped back to the UK—where their second life begins. Each one is carefully and sympathetically cut in half, transforming the front or rear into the frame of a repurposed Car Sofa. The engine bay or boot cavity is expertly restructured with hand-built wooden frames and upholstered in premium leather, creating a bold seat full of stories and serious style.

Our Car Sofas are available as either the front or back end of a vehicle, including the standout London Taxi Sofa—which comes as both a front-facing bench or rear-end statement seat. We don’t over-restore; in fact, we embrace the scrapes, scratches, and worn paint that tell each car’s story. That naturally aged patina? It stays.
Each sofa is fitted with a cushioned seat—our car models use distressed tan leather, while the taxi version is finished with reclaimed wood, showcasing original markings and history-soaked charm.
Because we build from authentic, salvaged vehicles, every piece is a true one-off. Numbers are extremely limited, and no two are ever the same.
